1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Visual Investors Club processes personal information when you visit the website, create an account, purchase a membership, or contact us. Visual Investors Club is operated by Toni Hofmann, Theodor-Neubauer-Str. 60, 04318 Leipzig, Germany.

We use analytics and marketing services only with your consent (see Section 4). These cookies and pixels load only after you opt in to the matching category in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Without consent, we process only the data needed for operation, security, account management, membership access, payment handling, and support.

2. What Data We Process

  • Messages and contact details when you contact us by email or phone
  • Checkout and billing information needed for the membership

Data Processed Automatically

  • Server log data such as IP address, requested URL, request time, and browser data
  • Technically necessary authentication cookies for login and member access
  • Temporary rate-limiting data used to protect against abuse
  • Local browser storage for preferences, search history, and local interactions

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing, securing, and maintaining the website
  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Unlocking member access after successful checkout
  • Sending transactional account emails and responding to support requests
  • Preventing fraud, scraping, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Complying with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations

For users in the EU/EEA, the legal bases are, depending on the purpose, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance and pre-contractual steps), Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligations), and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in operation, security, and abuse prevention). Analytics and marketing services (Section 4), and the storing of or access to the related information on your device, rely solely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Where processing is based on consent, consent can be withdrawn for the future at any time.

4. Services, Recipients, and Processors

We use a small number of service providers to operate the website. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services, or, for payment processing, under their own legal responsibilities.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Netlify may process server log data and technical information needed to deliver and secure the website. Netlify provides a data processing agreement and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information: netlify.com/privacy.

Account and Authentication Infrastructure

Account, authentication, and member-access infrastructure is provided by Supabase, Inc., 970 Trestle Glen Rd, Oakland, CA 94610, USA, and Supabase Pte. Ltd., 68 Circular Road #02-01, Singapore 049422. Supabase processes account data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and, where required, standard contractual clauses. Payments and Membership Checkout

Paid memberships are processed through Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, USA. Polar acts as merchant of record for payment processing, tax documents, receipts, and refunds. Payment data such as card details is handled by Polar and does not pass through Visual Investors Club servers. More information: polar.sh/legal/privacy.

Rate Limiting and Abuse Protection

We use Upstash, Inc., San Francisco, CA, USA, for rate limiting and abuse prevention. IP addresses may be processed temporarily to limit requests within short time windows. Upstash provides a data processing agreement and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information: upstash.com/trust/privacy.pdf.

Audience Measurement and Analytics (consent only)

If you consent to the "Statistics" category, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (for EEA/UK users), or Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics processes pseudonymous usage and device data to measure how the website is used. We also use Microsoft Clarity, a service of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited or Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA, for heatmaps and session recordings; form inputs and typed text are masked and excluded from recording. Marketing and Conversion Measurement (consent only)

If you consent to the "Marketing" category, we use the Reddit Pixel from Reddit, Inc., 1455 Market Street, Suite 1600, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, and the Google Ads conversion tag from Google (address above). These services measure which ads led to visits, sign-ups, or memberships and may process cookies and device identifiers for this purpose. 5. Cookies and Local Browser Storage

Visual Investors Club uses technically necessary cookies and local browser storage and — only after your consent through the cookie banner — analytics cookies (Statistics) and marketing cookies. No analytics or marketing cookies are set without consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. 6. Sharing, Sale, and Advertising

We do not sell personal information. With your consent to the "Marketing" category, data is shared with the advertising and analytics services named in Section 4 for conversion measurement; they act as their own independent controllers for this purpose. Without that consent, no data is shared for advertising or analytics purposes. Otherwise, data is shared only with the service providers described above where needed to operate the service, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Visual Investors Club, users, or others.

7. Retention

Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account data is generally kept for the duration of the account. If an account is deleted, personal information is deleted unless legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-related retention grounds apply. Billing and transaction records may be retained for 6 to 10 years under German commercial and tax rules.

8. International Transfers

Visual Investors Club is operated from Germany and uses service providers in the United States and other countries. For international transfers from the EU/EEA, we rely, where required, on appropriate safeguards such as data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, and provider participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent. EU/EEA users also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. The competent authority for the operator's location is Der Sachsische Datenschutzbeauftragte, Devrientstrasse 5, 01067 Dresden, saechsdsb.de.

10. California Notice

Visual Investors Club does not currently meet the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) thresholds for a covered business. We also do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those thresholds are met in the future, this policy will be updated with the required California notices and rights.

In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information processed may have included identifiers, internet or network activity data, commercial information related to membership status, and support communications. The purposes and service providers are described above.

11. Security

The website uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. We use access controls, managed infrastructure, and service-provider safeguards to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects for you.
