Visual Investors Club uses technically necessary cookies and local browser storage and — only after your explicit consent — analytics and marketing cookies. Analytics and marketing technologies load only after you opt in to the matching category in the cookie banner. No such cookies are set without consent.

1. Consent and Categories

On your first visit, a banner appears with three categories. You can "Accept all", "Reject all", or pick individual categories; rejecting is as easy as accepting. Your choice is stored under the key vic-consent-v1 in local browser storage and drives, via Google Consent Mode, which services load.

  • Essential – always on, no consent required (login, session, security, remembering your cookie choice).
  • Statistics – optional (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity).
  • Marketing – optional (Reddit Pixel, Google Ads conversion tag).

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. A withdrawal takes effect for the future.

2. Technically Necessary Cookies

Authentication Cookies

Visual Investors Club uses technically necessary authentication cookies for account registration, login, session management, and protected member access. These cookies keep the session active and allow the site to recognize signed-in users.

Purpose: Login, session management, and access control.
Legal basis for EU/EEA users: Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

3. Local Browser Storage

Theme Preference

The selected light or dark mode is stored in local browser storage under the key vic-theme. This information is not used for analytics or advertising.

Cookie Choice

Your cookie consent is stored locally under the key vic-consent-v1 so the banner respects your choice on your next visit.

Language Preferences

Language switches on legal and contract-related pages may be stored locally so the same choice is restored on the next visit. The keys are vic-legal-language, vic-cancel-language, and vic-withdrawal-language. This information is not used for advertising or analytics.

Roadmap Votes

Feature-idea votes on the homepage may be stored locally in the browser. This storage helps avoid duplicate votes in the same browser and is not connected to a user profile or external analytics service.

Search History and Ticker Requests

Recently opened reports may be stored locally under the key vic.searchHistory so search can return to relevant reports faster in the same browser. Submitted ticker requests may also be stored locally under vic.tickerRequests to avoid duplicate requests in the same browser. This data is not used for advertising or analytics.

4. Statistics Cookies (consent only)

These cookies are set only if you consent to the "Statistics" category. They help us understand how the website is used. The providers are Google and Microsoft (also in the USA); transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. These include, for example:

  • _ga – Google Analytics 4, distinguishes users (up to 2 years).
  • _ga_<ID> – Google Analytics 4, persists session state (up to 2 years).
  • _clck – Microsoft Clarity, Clarity user ID and settings (up to 1 year).
  • _clsk – Microsoft Clarity, ties page views into one session (1 day).
  • CLID, MUID – Microsoft Clarity, visit recognition (up to 1 year).

Microsoft Clarity produces heatmaps and session recordings. Form inputs and typed text are masked and excluded from recording.

5. Marketing Cookies (consent only)

These cookies are set only if you consent to the "Marketing" category. They measure which ads led to visits, sign-ups, or memberships. The providers are Reddit and Google (also in the USA); transfers rely on appropriate safeguards as above. These include, for example:

  • _rdt_uuid – Reddit Pixel, conversion and advertising ID (up to 90 days).
  • _gcl_au – Google Ads, attributes conversions to ad clicks (up to 90 days).

6. Managing and Withdrawing Consent

You can change your consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. If technically necessary cookies are blocked, login, member access, and protected features may not work reliably.
